Prohibited products & intellectual property: avoid live account bans
Live platforms block or close accounts that sell counterfeit or prohibited goods — sometimes without warning. Check this list before adding a product. You are solely responsible for the legality of what you sell.
Don't sell counterfeit/replica goods, branded goods without permission, or products that infringe copyright, trademarks or patents. Live platforms (Shopee/Facebook/YouTube) can block or close your account.
⛔ Counterfeit & IP-infringing goods
Replicas, "grade A/AAA", "1:1", "mirror quality", "inspired by", "dupe", "KW", "first copy", or branded goods sold without the brand owner's permission. Includes famous brand logos/patterns on your goods, licensed characters (Disney, Pokémon, Sanrio…), pirated content and products copying someone else's design or patent.
Weapons
Firearms, ammunition, certain knives/bladed weapons, stun devices, pepper spray (platform dependent) and weapon accessories.
Drugs, e-cigarettes & vapes
Drugs and controlled substances, drug paraphernalia and — on most platforms — vapes, e-liquids and tobacco products.
Adult items
Sexual products, explicit material and items unsuitable for a public stream.
Medicines & supplements with medical claims
Medicines and supplements must be registered with KKM/NPRA (MAL number) where applicable. Don't claim a product "treats", "cures" or "prevents" disease. Show the KKM/MAL registration number if there is one.
Hazardous items
Flammable/explosive items, dangerous chemicals, fireworks and unsafe batteries.
Wildlife
Protected animals, animal parts (ivory, scales, skins) and protected plants.
Gambling
Unlicensed lotteries, paid lucky draws and betting schemes.
Financial schemes
Get-rich-quick schemes, unlicensed investments, pyramid schemes and unlicensed lending.
